How long do you wait to have the "what are we" conversation?

Been dating a guy for a month and a half, seems to be going really well. Really like him

but we haven't had the conversation about if we're seeing other people / how we feel / where this is going and I don't know when is an appropriate time to ask?

been out the dating game for a long time so idk how long your meant to wait!

I miss the days where if you were 'going out' with someone then you could assume it was exclusive. Never any need to ask such questions.

I think you're at the point where you want to know if you're wasting your time or not - which seems like a reasonable time to ask IMO!
