We are going through a horrendous time as a family and I feel numb just being in supermarkets with all the Xmas mayhem. I have 2 poorly teens, 1 in hospital and a third I need to make it slightly festive for.

Help! I just want to hide in a cupboard for the next few weeks.😩

I just want to pull the duvet over my head and forget it all.

Spouse has stage 4 cancer. Operation due Christmas week and been told they will be in over Christmas so we will be travelling to visit.
DC written Christmas list, I don’t even want to bother with decorations and no clue if I can even get them all down from the loft. I will of course buy and wrap gifts, but won’t be able to cook a Christmas dinner with the 150 mile round trip to visit. DM is away visiting other younger grandchildren and can’t disappoint them.

I’ve never felt so alone.

Wishing your teens a speedy recovery and hope the one in hospital will soon be home. You are not alone Flowers

I've had some tough Xmas and one in particular was very tragic.
I must say a little Xmas cheer really helped me because it's about hope, even when you're terrified of the future.

Esp with young people in the family make a small effort to take the focus away.

If no children just focus on yourself.
