Unreasonable to expect to be able to travel next weekend?

We have plans to visit my parents for Christmas next weekend. My dad is having chemotherapy and next weekend is the best time to go in between chemo session in terms of him feeling well.

My 2 boys came down with coughs/colds yesterday, I've been a little sneezy for a couple of days, we obviously can't (and won't) visit if any of us is unwell.

Are we likely to be over it in a week's time? Any tricks to shifting it quickly? We will all (my dad especially) be gutted if we can't make it!

I'm currently having chemo every 3 weeks and wouldn't worry about colds/sniffles. But that's personal to me. I'd ask your dad how he feels about it.

They've been told his immunity will be very weak and a cold could land him in hospital, a bit of a runny nose would probably pass but not the toddler coughing all over him. He was part of the CEV group during COVID (it came back 😭)
