When colleagues my age or younger are talking about kids and husbands. Just feels so isolating not being able to join in.

I'm a single 40 something but no, I don't feel that way. Just chat about your parents/nieces/pets or whoever/whatever is important in your life.

I've definitely noticed that since I moved into late thirties. I'm the only single person among my work colleagues and it does seem really obvious at times.

Sometimes, I’m generally happy for them though but I get what you mean.

Just feels like a club you don't belong to. It's tough being the outsider.

I'm single, no kids and have completely turned my back on relationships and sex for good. Fuck the lot of them.

What would make me feel less of an outcast isn't to have the family life everyone else seems to have - it would be to live in a world where EVERYONE was single like me, everyone was just friends and relationships weren't even a thing.
