I feeling overly emotional about this so need some reasonable opinions

my child is in year 12 and has a form tutor who is also a teacher in one of the chosen a level subjects

she clearly doesn’t like my child she talks down to child in front of other students who commented on how this teacher behaves.
and has questioned GCSE results in chosen subject, child got a grade 9 in this subject, worked their ass off to get the grade 9. This teacher is new to the school not very supportive and is constantly finding ways to give detentions. My child has never had one detention in the past 5 years. I was told by so many teachers that they wished some of the other students were as caring and well behaved as mine that they are a pleasure to teach

I’m upset because my child has become deflated and anxious going into class with this teacher

what do I do without causing a bigger problem ?

im sitting here crying because I feel so bad

Get your child moved. That isn’t conducive to a good learning environment. Do it sooner rather than later so it doesn’t ruin their exams etc.

Crying is not going to help your child. Finding her another tutor most likely will.

I'd start by looking at what practical options you have. Is there only one teacher for this subject in the school?

Yes only one teacher that teaches this subject at A-level

the teacher my child had last year for gcse was amazing and supportive firm but very fair

What about a meeting with the headteacher?
