So a 2nd cousin of mine whom I don't see, but we stay in contact and always buy birthdays and Xmas presents for each other every year.. has contacted my DM to say pretty much "we have been thinking a lot, and we think that this year with the cost of living we think it's best not to buy presents for each other this year, I appreciate you're not in the same situation as us (they are well off), so shalll we just leave it this year?' DM agreed of course and has passed the message on to me. Which is fine.
But then the conversation finished by her saying 'anyway if you send cards we will get them at some point when we are back off our holidays as we are going to the Maldives for Christmas, then off to the Bahamas early in the new year!' 😂😂
