Annoying sensation in vagina

I've name changed as this is really embarrassing and I can't explain it very well to be able to talk to dr or midwife.

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and I sometimes get an annoying feeling down there. I vaguely remember having it in my teenage years.

It doesn't hurt or burn or sting, it's just an annoying restless feeling and it makes me squirm and move my legs and happens when I'm laying down trying to sleep. I feel like I want to punch myself down there as it's so annoying 😩

It's not from sex as we haven't DTD since positive pregnancy test due to high risk of miscarriage.

Does anyone have any idea or had the same? I don't know what to do it's driving me mad.

Do you mean an itchy or burning sensation ?

Has your midwife or doctor told you that you have to refrain from PIV sex?

Why are you at high risk of miscarriage ?

WhiplashGirlchild · 28/11/2022 14:27

It sounds like the sensation that causes restless legs syndrome. I've got that on my arms and torso so not only my legs. It's a maddening feeling, drives me crazy in bed.

I can't help you, unfortunately, but I'd love to hear what others' think it might be.

It's not itchy or burning, it's just annoying I really don't know how to explain it.

Yes, I've had multiple miscarriages and my cervix is a worry. I was told to refrain from intercourse until I have seen the consultant for a plan for my cervix next week.

Possible cervical stitch required.

Bubble fanny? Feels like you've got a bubble that can't be popped?

joysofpregnancy · 28/11/2022 14:28

@WhiplashGirlchild I really feel for you! I guess it is a restless feeling. It's genuinely so annoying, keeps me awake and it's embarrassing. I don't know how to explain it to get some help for it? If there is help for it!

Is it like a pressure feeling? I get this and it makes me so uncomfortable

PlantsAndSpaniels · 28/11/2022 15:10

Is it like numbness?

Ridingthegravytrain · 28/11/2022 15:25

I get this. Have it now. It's so annoying. Mine is from incomplete bladder emptying and cystocele. Feels like the strange pressure start of a uti but no uti symptoms.

No ideas to help I'm afraid. Just sympathy!

Cornelious · 28/11/2022 15:26

Is it like a shooting pain?

Wrongsideofpennines · 28/11/2022 15:30

I'd mention it to the consultant if you're seeing them for your cervix. Not sure why you have cervix issues but it might be linked. They could also do a swab to rule out infection.

It may well just be increased blood flow to the area and pressure in places it wouldn't have been before.
