Name changed for obvious reasons.
To give you a bit of background, we live in the UK the last 4 years, moved here before Covid happens and we have 3 DS.
We met a couple with kids close in age as ours through a baby class.
Then, covid happened, my husband was away a lot for business and anyway we managed to touch base, we invited them over and we finally met with them recently.
They came in our place, had dinner, the kids played wonderfully well and we felt that we had a lot in common. Then they left, gave us a call and thanked us, agreed to follow up with another outing and then boom! Nothing happened! None kept in touch...
We don't want to seem desperate to make friends and to make another invite, we feel the ball is in their court and they should either invite us over or propose to go out all together.
It's been 2 months since all this happened and I don't know whether this behaviour is normal and what to do!
Sorry if this whole post sounds funny to some, but we clearly don't have many friends as we just moved here just before covid and we try to establish.
