Light hearted Wibu to have this made for BIL for Christmas.....

So to cut a long story short. Bil came round last week after going to a rave. He picked up covid whilst there and passed it onto all of us in our house. Currently feel like crap as a result.

My question is would I be unreasonable to get him a mug made for Christmas with 'I gave them covid, so all they got me for Christmas was this lousy mug.' Then make him wait all day for his actual gift that I bought before feeling like death warmed up.

If not unreasonable hit me with your best idea for a quote and the best will go on his mug.

Yeah I don’t find it funny. It’s a bit passive agressive for when he’s done nothing wrong. If it was April 2020 then yeah fine, but not now.

If you generally get on well with him, and he has a sense of humour then go for it! Its the sort of present that might get bought in my family, as an addition to the main present.

We get on well. It's the kind of thing I think he would expect to be honest.

I would, but I do have that kind of sense of humour

That would get a laugh in our house. But I wouldn't wait all day to give him his real present, I'd give it after a couple of minutes of laughing.

I did think about not holding his main present back for too long. We will be at MIL's this year and presents are not opened there until after dinner anyway so we could give him the mug, then give everyone else their present from us and say oh look we have 1 left this must be for bil.
