Ask them to justify putting it up, ime they can't and back down.

bloodyeverlastinghell · 27/11/2022 21:56

Good luck. Honestly just change supplier they will refund you all money you have in credit.

Thank you. They have finally sorted out our incorrect bill (seemingly charging us for some random person's made up gas amount, using completely incorrect gas meter). Now we want some of the over £1000 credit back (to be able to pay for pesky things like mortgage.....). They have responded by wanting to up our bill by another £20 a month despite charging us £290 a month gas when we have used less than£60.

@bloodyeverlastinghell sounds like you have experience. How many times did you try without success? Utility Warehouse have caused us so much stress 😩 and this was when we changed to them (basically appears to gives them carte blanched to take money from your account to charge made up amounts on incorrect meters) scared we will go through it all with another change of suppliers.

They are usually so good at UW. Can you go through their complaints procedure?

This might be useful: Citizens Advice

@Iizzyb
Hours on the phone. Lots of emails with pictures of our actual meter etc and it took them many months to sort out (needed to threaten ofgem ).truly awful company.
