To ask about pain relief for sudden onset back pain

Shamelessly posting for traffic.

Regular get aches and pains but nothing serious, just the ageing process in action .

This morning woke up to very sore back. No obvious trigger other than its cold and damp outside, but I haven't been out.

I've had a hot bath, done yoga stretches and taken ibuprofen and paracetamol.

And nothing is making the pain going away. It hurts to move, to sit, to stand and to lie.

Can't do or concentrate on anything due to pain.

Any Ideas anyone?

Is it sciatica pain, muscle pain or a disc issue? You have my sympathy op back pain is awful. I use heat pads and a massage cushion when I have muscle pain or sciatica pain.

Give 111 a ring.

It could be anything from a muscle spasm to an aneurysm that's about to blow. You need to be checked out properly.

Yeah I second that. If you can't do anything then you need medical help.

How are you feeling op?

If it's a burning pain it's likely to be a trapped nerve.
