Would you see this as ‘love bombing’?

Not met this man yet but spoke for a week or so over messages. He has already bought me a gift for my upcoming birthday even though I have not met. He keeps telling me that I’m ‘the most beautiful person he has ever known’ that ‘he has strong feelings for me’ ‘can’t get me off his mind’ and lots of other messages like that. Is this love bombing? Or I am thinking too much into it.

He sounds insane. Run away!

Chomolungma · 23/11/2022 20:07

Yes, that sounds like love bombing to me.

MinistryOfTragic · 23/11/2022 20:07

That would put me right off meeting him OP! Be careful.

dolor · 23/11/2022 20:08

Yep that's love bombing.

Lund · 23/11/2022 20:10

Crikey, doesn’t matter what you call it but that is intense. How can you be the most beautiful person he has ever known when he doesn’t know you? I would steer clear!

Bumblebee413 · 23/11/2022 20:11

Run away!

MichaelAndEagle · 23/11/2022 20:11

That would be a nope from me!

summergone · 23/11/2022 20:11

Sounds ridiculously creepy , that sounds really put me off !!

Zanatdy · 23/11/2022 20:12

Yes it is, absolutely. I’d be wondering why he’s so attached to you so soon. That’s not normal behaviour

Speakingofdinosaurs · 23/11/2022 20:12

Ha ha - how can you be the most beautiful person he has ever known, he literally knows nothing about ‘you’ as a person!
He’s ridiculous!
Bin him.

Crotonifolia · 23/11/2022 20:12

Steer clear - it's not normal for anyone to be so full on when you haven't even met. I'd say lovebombing yes, but possibly weirder, because you've not even physically met.

TheWordHu88yIsMyPetHate · 23/11/2022 20:13

Agree with the above. Sounds creepy as fk too. Run away op.

Luciagre197 · 23/11/2022 20:16

Yes that’s what I thought, he has never met me so I don’t know how he could think that. He always sends messages that he wants to make me feel special and treat me like a princess like I deserve, all that kind of thing

OP posts:
RyanReno · 23/11/2022 20:17

Run

Onlyforcake · 23/11/2022 20:19

Trust that instinct!

Mollythemoo · 23/11/2022 20:20

He sounds an utter creep. Please just cut contact and move on , block his number or change your number if necessary. I know attention is nice, but bad attention leads to all sorts of nonsense. ( I talk from experience). He will be telling you, of his relatives that need critical operations in foreign climates next. Listen to your gut sweet lass, the fact you are posting , you already have your doubts. Please set your bar higher x

🤮

AlwaysFoldingWashing · 23/11/2022 20:20

I'd be off

Slig · 23/11/2022 20:20

Have you even spoken to him yet? Is he based in the same country as you?

Not that it matters, run! Run like the wind!

susan12345678 · 23/11/2022 20:21

Ugh creep alert! Block and delete

Cw112 · 23/11/2022 20:30

Yeah I'd run from that one like I was on fire. Big red flags there.

LovingLifesHurdles · 23/11/2022 20:32

Even if it's sincere it's just waaaaaay too much after a week.

dontcallmethatyoucunt · 23/11/2022 20:33

After a fucking week?. Do NOT get involved. That’s totally unhinged, or he thinks you might be, which makes him dangerous. Run

OnlyFannys · 23/11/2022 20:33

Eek, I dont know about love bombing as I cant keep track of all the terms buts its definitely coming on way too strong, I would cancel tbh

ClubTropicanaVIP · 23/11/2022 20:49

RUN FOR THE HILLS

Do people really fall for that bollocks without meeting and after a week??!!!!
