It’s not hard is it. Bit of a space

OP posts:
VeniVidiWeeWee · 22/11/2022 21:43

Missing a question mark there.

PurpleButterflyWings · 22/11/2022 21:45

Same here @Muggeridge I just X out of the thread if it's 1000 words with no paragraphs. It makes my eyes and head hurt trying to navigate it!

SkylightSkylight · 22/11/2022 21:46

There are lots of technical issues with posting.

some people are less well educated.

some people don't give a shit.

but we can ALL live without your comments, so just close the thread & open another.

XenoBitch · 22/11/2022 21:46

YANBU
I read it, but it does not get absorbed into my head as well as a post split into paragraphs.

SavoirFlair · 22/11/2022 21:46

Same people who say “I can’t be arsed” will be the same people to shout “dripfeeding” or “you didn’t say that in your OP”…

3/10. Try harder next time @Muggeridge

Devoutspoken · 22/11/2022 21:48

I agree, I sometimes edit in my mind, succinct over rambling every time for me

but there are lots of technical issues with MN.

people have even posted what they see on their screen, screen shuts price they paragraphs are there on some peoples devices & not on others, ON THE EXACT SANE POST.

Keyansier · 22/11/2022 21:57

YES! Completely agree.

And also unnecessarily long posts. Yes, I may think YANBU to think your neighbour was being a dick to you, but can you please what actually happened in less than three hundred words with acceptable spacing.

Sometimes if it's just a block of text and I can't read it because it's too long i just automatically vote YABU!

SkylightSkylight · 22/11/2022 21:58

translation:

people have even posted screen shots of what they see on their device. Same post has paragraphs on one device and yet not on another.

Neither is using commas correctly.

CourtneeLuv · 22/11/2022 22:58

Yanbu. I don't bother reading them.

Dartmoorcheffy · 22/11/2022 23:01

There's been an issue for ages trying to post from a mobile. If you pressed return it would keep putting loads more lines in and you couldn't see what you were typing.

Thankfully that seems to have been rectified this week.

Byelaws · 22/11/2022 23:03

YANBU.

And it’s probably unfair, but I immediately assume that whatever the issue is, it might be partly down to the poster’s poor communication skills.

ThanksAntsThants · 22/11/2022 23:24

Sometimes you can put paragraphs in and they don’t post the way you formatted it. The ones who really get on my tits however, are the ones who don’t use any punctuation. I mean yeah, I know some people struggle with writing, and some people haven’t had the benefit of a decent education yada yada yada, but fucking hell, they are on a website that requires a lot of reading, in fact there is nothing to be taken from this website without reading, so presumably they can see those little dots and marks littered throughout other peoples’ writing. It’s surely not too much to ask or unreasonable to expect posters to use a full stop now and again. I don’t care about misplaced apostrophes, or using a semicolon where one should use a colon, I’m talking about the ones who just write a stream of text without any pauses whatsoever. 99.9% of those who don’t use punctuation are not incapable of doing so, they’re just fucking lazy.

ALongHardWinter · 22/11/2022 23:46

Agree.
