If its in your garden and it's to give you privacy I'd say crack on!

Check with council about planning, they may have to knock it down if they didn’t get permission. If they did, you kissed your chance to object to their new view of your garden.

Trees are fine. Conifers can be quick growers.

So the windows are at the side of the extension not just at the back? Were you not given the opportunity to object to the plans during the planning process?

PeekabooAtTheZoo · 22/11/2022 20:55

Why not? They obviously don't care about your comfort.

It sounds like permitted development so no planning needed.

At 2m at least they won't be looking into your garden but you're perfectly entitled to plant trees if you like.

Yes to permitted development and side windows. We can look right into their seating area out of our 1st floor windows. It's very odd after previous privacy. I did object to the neighbour and planning but they went ahead.
