AIBU to give up hope of an interview?

Vacancy came up at a company I would love to work for in a role that absolutely matches my skill set. I could demonstrate hitting all but one desirable criteria. The position will be extremely competitive so I did try not to get my hopes up but thought my chances of at least interviewing were good.

Applications closed on 13th November. Interviews are scheduled for 28th &29th November. I've not heard a peep.

I should just give up hope and accept the invitation to interview isn't coming, shouldn't I?

I think it could still go in your favour, but the odds are that you haven't been successful this time.

Best of luck!

Thank you for the good wishes and offers of help.

The positions are like hen's teeth so I dread to imagine how many outstanding applications they received, but it's still disappointing. Might indulge myself with a glass of wine and a wallow in the bath tonight then brush myself down and start again tomorrow ☺️
