To wonder if the England players will show a gesture of solidarity re OneLove?

I know they've been told not to wear their armbands but there are other things they could do to show solidarity without sanctions, otherwise I think it really is all about the £££.

I was pleased to see Alex Scott with an armband on.

Honestly, I feel all of this is a consequence of the ridiculous decision to give Qatar the WC in the first place. The idea that doing so would encourage the country to be more liberal was always nonsense- it was inevitable that it would end up like this. The teams who supported the OneLove armbands have all had to back down. I blame FIFA, not the players.

As I understand it it's not about the £££ as they were quite happy to pay any fines

It's totally understandable that they can't risk losing players
