Im seriously considering a robot cleaner. Has anyone bought the one linked above and can you answer questions please?

I have a bit of a step up from hard floor kitchen to carpets in the lounge, can these vacuums cope with the change in flooring?

it mentions magnetic strips, where do these need to go, should I be buying a vacuum with a laser? I don’t want to have to stick magnetic strips all over the house etc.

will they cope with pet hair?

are they really worth the money?

thanks!

I have a Rooba - no boundary needed. Is fab.

I've got 3. A dyson, very good but temperamental. A roomba. Bit histrionic and a Eufy. Eufy is the most reliable and cheapest

I have two Eufy robovacs. The 11S and the 30C (I think that's it).

Both brilliant, cope with 2 husky cross dogs, our old long haired cat and two shedding humans. One on each floor of the house. They go off at 11am and 1pm respectively and I WFH.

You do need to have wires cleared away, but they go from carpet to laminate to vinyl to rugs in our house with no issues. They can't handle a sheepskin rug though, too shaggy, so I lift it each morning.

I empty them both every day as they fill up with fur. It's quite shocking actually!

And I have no boundaries set up. One threw itself down the stairs once when I left a sheet hanging on the bannisters, meaning he couldn't see the edge.... But it hasn't stopped it from working! Made a great dent in the wall, but that's on us!

Thanks so much, I’ve been checking so many reviews I’m going crazy.

have decided upon the Eufy Boost IQ 11S max

Q.
What happens if it encounters cat sick or a hair ball (or worse?)

Does it see it as a solid and leave it or does it try and brush it up 😲

You are best advised to check the floors before turning it on. Also a robot vacuum will happily suck up wires so make sure any chargers are out of the way

I brought a cheap Chinese one from Amazon last year and loved it. Just upgraded to the Roomba J7 (Rosie) and it’s fab! It has a camera so avoids wires, toys and supposedly cat sick. I’m obsessed with it and not hoovered with the big hoover for a week. It gets full quick I just can’t believe where all this dirt is coming from. She’s my new best mate 100% recommend
