House a mess and am desperately trying to sort it and can’t as have very young child destroying everything I am trying to do.

It is not even half seven and I already want to scream!

I hear you op. For weeks I've been trying to sort the clothes situation in our house and every rooms seems to have piles of just ransoms stuff. I make progress in one room and then it builds in another. I tried twice yesterday but ended up going out with the children both times and I felt so annoyed not being able to do it again. Another day living in a shit tip.
I told DH he's taking the kids out today to give me some peace to clean.
It's a fucking nightmare sometimes

I would abort mission, get child ready and take child to park a little later.
Prepare a snack for when you get back, put something on tv and pray they are tired and watch it whilst you then tidy. When you have a child it’s hard to get anything done. When child returns likely they’ll make a new mess!

Is there anyone that can babysit for a couple of hours?
Encourage child to tidy up after themselves and reward them for doing so.

I sympathise. I'm on about 90 minutes and counting of Play Doh Monster Trucks and am fantasising about coffee and my favourite playlist while blitzing the house.

When DH is up he can take over!
