What do I do with my chikdren’s money?

An aunt has given my children some money for their future - they’re 9 & 4 and both are autistic - I’m hoping the money could be a little nest egg to help them in the future.

It’s £5k each so significant but not life changing.

Where can I invest it given I don’t need to touch it for years?

Have they access to the best intervention..Speech therapy/ Occupational Therapy etc. If you find it difficult to afford thesethings l would spend to give them every chance.

did you miss that they’re both autistic? One is 5 and can’t speak - I can barely encourage him to let me brush his teeth. Money is fun paper to tear up.

The other would use it all for action figures.

yes, we have the appropriate therapies through school and can afford more if needed
