Apologies, I know there have been threads on this before. But seriously. They taste plastic.

If Mokolate was real, this how it would taste! (Friends)

Mondelez happened. Cadbury's has not been the same since.

Fairyfudgecake · 16/11/2022 18:20

Just googled Mondelez.

It's actually tragic. Cadbury's tastes nothing like Cadbury's any more

Completely agree!
Any alternatives that still taste of chocolate that anyone has discovered?

Januarytoes · 16/11/2022 18:29

Aargh I was SO disappointed with them. Not buying them again. Not the same, taste cheap

Januarytoes · 16/11/2022 18:30

Tony Chocoloney tastes to me like chocolate used to... and I like Green and Black... better to have a small piece of nicer choc than handfuls of cheap stuff (=Heroes)

Septemberintherain · 16/11/2022 18:32

I think a lot of chocolate has gone down hill. I had a chocolate orange yesterday and it tasted like wax.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 16/11/2022 18:34

Aldi chocolate still tastes like chocolate.

luxxlisbon · 16/11/2022 18:35

So many people say Tony’s but imo that tastes like cheap advent calendar chocolate.

userlotsanumbers · 16/11/2022 18:37

Yeah, they wrecked it. Can't eat Cadburys anymore. Cost engineered to fuck and inedible. Yet to find a good alternative

Blankscreen · 16/11/2022 18:37

Buy a Lindt teddy instead.

clarrylove · 16/11/2022 18:37

Milka chocolate is my favourite. Or Galaxy at a push.

Me too, and I hate the stupid shapes. I’d say Lidl have the best chocolate, it still melts and it’s not greasy.

Pumperthepumper · 16/11/2022 18:38

Lindt is also minging now, it’s so oily.

Usernamen · 16/11/2022 18:40

It’s just the culture of cost cutting to maximise profits for businesses taken over by large corporations / private equity companies. Same with clothes. I can’t think of a single shop that I used to buy from that’s better or the same quality now as it was 10-15 years ago.

Runnerduck34 · 16/11/2022 18:47

Oh I love heros upset to hear they're now rubbish.
Cadbury was always the best chocolate was gutted last year when they changed the tree decorations.
Cadburys have been going downhill since they were sold, some things should stay British!

Soproudoflionesses · 16/11/2022 18:49

Omg l had some the other day and thought it was my taste buds!!
I would rather go without or stick to Galaxy.

SignOnTheWindow · 16/11/2022 18:52

Tesco own brand milk chocolate tastes like Cadburys used to. Or at least it did last time I had it, which was a good few months ago.

Judellie · 16/11/2022 18:53

I was just going to say Tesco own brand too (the milk chocolate in the blue wrapper)

the80sweregreat · 16/11/2022 18:53

I find 'own brand' chocolate much better than any of the big names.
It's cheaper too

Tonys is not great at all, very mediocre.

WhatTimeDoYouCallThis · 16/11/2022 18:59

I recommend Lindt, I used to love Cadbury in all forms but everything they make now is oily grim tasting rubbish. I miss the original creme eggs!

DobbleWobble · 16/11/2022 19:06

Ritter sport chocolate is delicious, particularly the honey salted almond variety 😋
