I was a primary school SENCo/ deputy head before having 5 years out with children.
I’m now looking to return to work but it feels daunting. I have good work experience in a way (though narrow) but so little experience job hunting. Jobs in teaching fell into each other from university onwards, networking and getting offers.
I’m now facing job hunting for the first time and it’s hard to know where to start. I’d really love not to have to return to teaching, but what jobs do women in their 40s find? How do you start?
Id be so grateful for anyone else to share how they managed, and what they did. My only other work in 5 years of retail whilst studying and a little office temping, but whilst at university.
30k is really the ideal amount, but being a realist…
