To think we should all be (considering) wearing suffragette colours in the run up to 2028?

1918 & 1928 were the years legislation giving women the vote in the U.K. passed.

The powers that be in the Scottish Parliament seem to disagree. Madness. This is the centenary decade. Why should women, suffragettes, & history cede three colours to some minority of numpties?

I am really worried some sideshow will squash the centenary. 💚🤍💜

I'm definitely up for wearing the colours, loud and proud. It would be amazing to see women all around wearing them!

Godsavetheking2022 · 15/11/2022 21:54

Great idea. I've been wearing my jewellery in these colours this week.

TruestRepairman · 15/11/2022 22:07

YA so, so, so NBU. Scotgov being run by maniacs.

MetellaInHortoEst · 16/11/2022 14:02

Yes, sympathies to Scots women. I’d make a point of bringing my colours up there next time to irritate the fascists, but don’t want to conform to their mad view.

In what universe are suffragette colours "a political statement" when the rainbow flag is not? Don't get me wrong, I love the (old school) rainbow flag <nostalgic emoji>

Inspired by another thread I have purchased a scarf from the Adult Human Female store and a lanyard (from eBay). Both to wear to my ‘woke’ workplace.

I have a scarf from the Ministry of Tartan and have also signed this petition petition.parliament.uk/petitions/623243.
