I know he's an adult and can make his own decisions etc and is old enough to research the effect on his health.

He drinks an energy drink every day recently and I'm worried about the potential side effects on his health. He has the sugar free ones so I guess not at as much risk of type 2 diabetes.

He works shifts so part of me thinks I'm bring unreasonable especially if it makes him more alert for a drive home at 6am along a major A road.

But I do worry about the long term effect it might have regardless of them being sugar free.

Assuming he isn’t a 19 year old student, YANBU!

How is it any different to having a large strong coffee?!

I guess it's not hugely different, but he also has large strong coffees in addition.

one a day? 🙄. Even if he was having 5 a day, he’s not your toddler. YABU

There isn't that much stuff in them, red bull sugar free is mostly caffine, taurine and sweeteners

Obviously a tap water is probably better but I don't think they are particularly harmful

There is a lot of propaganda about the dangers of sweeteners but there hasn't been any material side effects discovered despite the decades of consumption

I stand corrected and shall let it go Grin
