Dd always next to distracted child at school

Dd is generally well behaved and quiet at school year 5). In her previous school she was sat next to a very difficult boy who the teacher shouted at all the time. Dd always felt like she was being shouted at due to this (the voice was always aimed at her).

She's now at a different school and she's finding it hard to concentrate. The boy next to her has lots of fidget toys on his desk and dd says throughout the lesson they are clicking and making noises. Dd is being told off for being distracted by this but i can imagine it's hard not to be when the boy is making a lot of noise. The boy is also a bit irritable with dd and won't share the ipad or resources.

I don't know whether to say anything yet to the teacher, it's early days. Should I let her settle in a bit more first?

Just talk to the teacher and ask if she could move seats as she's finding it a bit tricky to concentrate. Shouldn't be a big deal.

Have a chat with the teacher that dd is struggling to focus with child next to her using fidget toys.

Mention it to the teacher. It's not a complaint it just giving info.
