Can you feel pain In c section scar 2 years later

Has anyone experienced pain in their c section scar more than 2 years later? Mine is red, painful and damp but my son is 2.5 years old.
Does anyone know if it's normal?

After that long I would get it checked. My scar healed fairly quickly and is never painful - numb around the edges but that's it. You might have an infection so with a trip to see the practice nurse or pharmacist if you have one which will take a look x

*worth a trip

Fluffygreenslippers · 13/11/2022 16:51

No that’s not normal. It sounds like a yeast infection.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 13/11/2022 16:52

Definitely get it checked. I tried but was dismissed. It still hurts from time to time thirty years later.

WeAreAllLionesses · 13/11/2022 16:52

No. Agree with pp it sounds infected.

Redbone · 13/11/2022 16:53

Not normal!

Mine is a year old and just feels numb. Definitely nothing like you've described.

LunaAndHerMoonDragons · 13/11/2022 16:55

Not red, but definitely periods of pain up to maybe 4 years post my third c-section. I have neuropathy and chronic pain though so my bodies reaction to pain aren't normal. It sounds like you should see a doctor.

Do you have some tummy over hang?

i find if I don’t keep mine super clean then it gets yeasty and unpleasant v quickly

I usually wash with salt water and then oil the area to reduce friction

I also find that plucking any hair that try and grow there reduces irritation.

Only when Voldemort is close.

Mine is bad and often has an infection I find metanium sorts it out

Itsabitnotcold · 13/11/2022 17:10

If its just started then go to your gp, sounds like an infection.

I've had constant pain since DS was born due to nerve damage. 18mo in, apparently it will eventually heal.

Rosebel · 13/11/2022 17:14

I've had periods of it being sore but never so painful. I'm struggling to bend over with it.
Working until Friday so if it's still bad by then I'll go to the doctors. I was wondering if I needed to see someone urgently but sounds like it can wait until then.

Not normal. Can’t feel mine at all 2 years later.
