My dog has been bitten on tail by my stepbrothers rescue and there is a tiny bit of blood and he won't let anyone touch it, I can't see it close up. I'm so stressed and don't know if I need to take him to emergency vets tonight? Help

Probably not urgently, no. It's likely to be a bump and bruise and a bit sore. If it doesn't settle in the morning I'd take him then.

That's assuming he's not distressed.

Is there an open wound? If so yes it needs the vets to be cleaned and stitched. Otherwise just see how he is but obviously keep the dogs separate

Yes, he does.

Tail wounds are a real bugger to heal without intervention.

I think he will be fine to wait til tomorrow but he does need to be seen.

Why dont you call the vet and see what they suggest, you dont want him to get an infection and he may need a pain injection.
