to ask how long holter monitor results take?

So I've had a holter monitor fitted today. I've to wear it for 48 hours.
I also have to return it on Sunday which is 18 bloomin quid there and back and probably more on a Sunday (rather beside the point, but I'm feeling grumpy).
In any case, when I return it, how long before they read it?
The guy didn't give me instructions, nothing!

Sorry, I'm distracted. How long before they get a chance to look at it?
What does it actually measure?

Depends on the trust but where I wor it takes ages for the report to be analysed from the machine. Then goes to consultant or whoever requested it and a formal report/
letter sent to you. It has taken several weeks to a a few months in some cases but where I work has staffing issues in this sept.
However If anything urgent is seen by the cardiophysiologist on analysing it gets priority though. Could just be my area though…

If you’ve gone private I imagine it’s a lot less time. Sorry meant to add It measures the heart rhythms and is looking for any abnormal rhythm pattern such as atrial fibrillation etc that may require medical intervention.

Ok, thank you both. Well I won't expect a result for a while then. I also have a heart MRI on Monday. I'm keeping Uber in business these days! 😩

And sorry, no, it's not private.

Actually, speaking of the MRI thing, is that like a video of the heart pumping or what is it (in terms I'd understand)?
