Why are some digger drivers unkempt looking?

There really is no need! They should be made to smarten up - after all we have to look at their scruffy, oil-stained clothes as they dig the middle of the road. It can put you right off!

My Dh drives a digger so I am very offended by this thread. He is very unkempt and has no lovely hair.

They really should make an effort when they are out and about in public. There is no excuse for trousers held up with string in this day and age.

LOL Dh has also been known to use bailing twine in the absence of a belt! Oh the shame.

These Polish and Turkish drivers are always respectful and very neat and tidy in their appearance! Whereas the Brits wear scruffy jumpers with holes in, too-short trousers held up with string, lanky greasy baseball caps, fag hanging out of their mouths and a copy of The Sun on the dashboard. Disgraceful!

And they have the audacity to wolfwhistle at me!!

The decently turned out Polish ones who I wouldn't kick out of bed are far too polite.
