BFP 2 days before period . 2 days after period should have started and 14dpo I had a one day bleed . I think it was dark blood and around a wine glass or two full . That was Thursday . I’ve tested since and all tests look the same . This is today ?
im so confused ?
if I had a chemical would I still test positive 4 days later ?! I’ve just started a new job and I’m feeling so stressed . Please help .
I would be 4+6 today if I was positive .

Do a digital. It might give more clarity.

RainbowsMoonbeams · 07/11/2022 08:21

Could be implantation bleeding? Hard to know for sure at this stage.

Hope you get the result you want.

ZooTropia · 07/11/2022 08:21

You bled a wine glass full? Wtf!

CRbear · 07/11/2022 08:21

Are you sure it was a wine glass? Most people don’t lose more than 30-45 ml (wine glass 175ml) on a very heavy day . I only ask as you should probably see a GP If it was

ZooTropia · 07/11/2022 08:22

But hey, ask randoms on the internet. Don't ask anyone medical whatever you do🤷

girlmom21 · 07/11/2022 08:24

Wait a few days and test again.

bravelittletiger · 07/11/2022 08:24

To answer your question yes it is still possible to get a positive pregnancy test four days after a miscarriage if that's what you've had.

Unfortunately there isn't really a way to tell this early on as even a very early scan wouldn't show anything at this stage.

Sending lots of love it's very stressful!

Xmassprout · 07/11/2022 08:24

Unfortunately no one can tell you for sure, only time will tell

aintnothinbutagstring · 07/11/2022 08:25

I think you should speak to GP/EPU to try and get early scan. Bleeding in early pregnancy is very normal.

RoseBucket · 07/11/2022 08:25

Zoo don’t be a dick she is obviously stressed!

I don’t know but whatever the answer is I hope it’s the one you want? The test looks very clear but I possibly do a few more over the next few days.

bakehimawaytoys · 07/11/2022 08:26

No need for the sarcasm @ZooTropia

OP, all you can really do is keep testing. Not sure a GP would tell you anything different at this stage. That does look very clearly like you are pregnant at the moment. Maybe buy some of the cheap strip tests on Amazon, that way you can test multiple times a day without breaking the bank.

Smartiepants79 · 07/11/2022 08:27

A a wine glass!! Are you sure because that’s a lot.

sunnydayhereandnow · 07/11/2022 08:28

FWIW I had bleeding early on in both my pregnancies, one was normal (dc) and one was an early miscarriage. But there's really no way to know with home pregnancy tests. They are not designed to show you the amount of HCG in your urine. The only way to tell whether your pregnancy is on track at this very, very early stage is to do lab tests that will tell you accurately whether the HCG is doubling as expected.

I know what it feels like to want a definitive answer, but remember that you started testing very early, and at this stage it's not uncommon for implanted eggs not to continue into viable pregnancies simply because there were issues with the egg. It's nature's way of making sure that only healthy pregnancies continue. It's hard to wait again after the two week wait, but really the time when you'll get a definitive answer is the first scan, which you can do around 8 weeks iirc.

Good luck x

SmileyClare · 07/11/2022 08:29

Losing two wine glasses full of dark blood in a day is not normal.
i think that needs investigating by an HCP.

Mummawantsanotherbaba · 07/11/2022 08:32

@ZooTropia on my sheets it looked like I had spilt a glass of wine . So I used that ! Sorry if that sounds silly. Looked like a big glass !

hettint an appointment at my doctors is hard enough ! Can’t see them telling me to come in!

Nosleepforthismum · 07/11/2022 08:38

God, no advice but I can see why you are confused! All you can do is wait a few days and test again but I know it’s hard.

Weefreetiffany · 07/11/2022 08:42

You need to go to go to your closest hospital gyno department. Call them before going in to check you can do a walk in. Your go won’t help with this so don’t bother giving yourself the stress! They need to check out the bleeding and will do a blood test for hormones which can tell if it’s coming or going. Better to do it sooner rather than later and let them help you manage it.

Daisychainsx · 07/11/2022 08:43

Hcg can stay in your system for a while after a miscarriage so pee tests aren't the most reliable, you need hcg blood tests a few days apart to see if it's rising at the expected rate or not. Fingers crossed for good news for you!

USaYwHatNow · 07/11/2022 08:44

Test again in a week or call GP and request serial hcg blood tests if waiting the week is too stressful. I lost a baby at just under 6 weeks and tested positive for about 10 days after the bleeding started.

SmileyClare · 07/11/2022 08:52

You don’t sound silly to refer to blood loss in terms of wine glass measurements.
It sounds as though you had a day of heavy bleeding around the time your period was due.

At this early stage it’s impossible for anyone to reassure you on here.

I’m fairly old and I think it was (in a way ) so less fraught trying for a baby when I was younger. We waited until we’d missed two periods before asking a doctor for a test.

Im sorry you’re feeling so stressed, as advised above, try not be consumed by this, wait a week or so before re testing.
I know that’s easier said than done x

decafsoyaflatwhite · 07/11/2022 09:04

I had a chemical pregnancy and got negative tests just before I started bleeding, which was the day after my period was due. I don’t know if that’s the norm or not though.

I would contact your local EPU and see if they will see you. Best of luck.

That's been my experience too - it's happened twice to me, and both times I tested negative before the bleeding started. Although my period was a week late the second time.

RoseBucket · 13/11/2022 08:40

How are you doing? X

Mummawantsanotherbaba · 13/11/2022 15:56

@RoseBucket
Hi, thank you for asking.
I had a scan on a Friday and they could see the yolk and sac. They said I was where I needed to be for 5 weeks . There was a bleed next to the sac but they said this can be common . I have to go back in two weeks and hopefully baby will have grown . I pray that all will be okay ! I really pray xx

Hi @Mummawantsanotherbaba how are you doing? I am in a similar position as you were at 14dpo and hoping you had some positive news?! 💗
