To ask if anyone else has had this horrible virus recently??

So one after another youngest DD, then me, then partner, now eldest DD have had this bug - diarrhoea and tiredness, nothing too horrible - but then the kicker, horrrrible mouth ulcers all over the tongue! So painful, much worse than the diarrhoea. I mean what does my tongue have to do with diarrhoea??? Why?

Sounds like hand foot and mouth. Sympathies op my son brought it home from nursery when he was little (years ago) and it is horrible. Mouth ulcers are the worst I agree. www.nhs.uk/conditions/hand-foot-mouth-disease/

We had what we think was hand foot mouth recently and was awful horrible painful sores and ulcers, sore throat, absolutely exhausted, nausea. Only me and dp had it though, DD didn't seem like it but did have cold symptoms the week prior. Strange.

Oh we had that one in the spring. Fun.

Huh, I never though hand foot and mouth because it's only mouth! No foot or hand sores at all, or nappy area for the baby, which was what my eldest had when she got HFM. Although having said that both me and DP had incredibly itchy inside forearms (random) throughout.

Either way my tongue is still insanely sore and I have HAD IT!

I caught hand foot and mouth off my daughter. I had an incredibly night temperature which took me to bed because I felt awful and my mouth was sore. I didn’t have anything on my hands or feet… but we knew it was that as she had it. One of my parents was also floored with it like I was. It was awful!

in comparison my daughter was absolutely fine!
