Question for people with fake eyelashes?

I’ve only ever worn disposable eyelashes before so I’m not familiar with the world of semi permanent lashes but it’s something I’ve decided I’d like. I’m willing to look after them and return for infills and so on.

the only problem is that I don’t even know where to start! I’ve looked at photos and recommendations and found some places that I’d like to try, they offer styles like classic lashes, Russian lashes or hybrid lashes. Does anyone have any personal experience or advice with any of these? Also, how long did they really last before you needed another treatment?

i would really like something that makes my lashes look long and full and thick, but not the really unnatural heavy and thick ones. I was thinking of getting dark brown rather than black as I’m very fair skinned and thought jet black might look too extreme on me

if anyone has any advice, tips or personal experience I would be grateful to hear them!

thank you!

I use Bimaprost 2x faily. My eyelashes are crazily long!

Everyone looks better without them.

Yeah, I tend to think this too.

Like orange make up, I don't really understand why anyone would go to such effort for that outcome.

I have a lash lift and tint. I have long lashes but straight. Once they are permed, the difference is incredible. They go from barely visible to like classic lashes.

They last for 6 weeks and cost me £30. I barely wear mascara now.

@pastabakeonaplate not all of them - I use rapid lash and no change to eye colour

Former lash tech here, research the place you go to, read customer reviews, if there a lot cheaper than other places local to you I wouldn't use them.
They should offer you a patch test to make sure you don't have an allergic reaction, at consultation they should discuss what you can realistically achieve , what they can do depends on you're own natural lashes , if you have thin short natural lashes and they put long thick ones on you're going to damage to you're own natural lashes.
Infills are recommended every 2-3 weeks, you need to not be an eye rubber, wearing mascara over the top of them will break down the bond and they won't last as long and clients never can clean the mascara off completely, any eyeliner you may use needs to be oil free, oil based makeup will also break down the bone.
