The other night I had a dream that my dad left my mum for someone we met on holiday 15 years ago (we haven’t seen/spoken to this person since the holiday, they were just someone we spent time with for the two weeks we were there).

Today my dad randomly mentioned this person in conversation, for the first time in years. I’m
obviously not psychic but it’s really unsettled me that he brought up this woman only a couple of nights after the dream, with no particular. Please tell me some of you have also had these strange coincidences and that I’m not just losing my mind?

Yes I have random stuff like this happen!

KimmySchmitt · 05/11/2022 23:06

Yeah, it happens sometimes. Chances are you've had hundreds of dreams over the years involving random people but they don't stick in your mind because the person hasn't then popped up in reality. It's just a coincidence.

I have had this happen , for my business. I'll mention we haven't heard from such and such client for months , then the next day the said client will email about a new project . I now only mention clients I like to work with 😅

Me and a close family member frequently have the exact same word for word, word association when someone mentions a quite random thing. It's spooky. I think we are wired the same, it's more than shared environmental influences.

Yes this happens to me all the time! It’s probably something subconscious that has happened for both of you to trigger a similar memory.

Yep this stuff happens to me as well.
Yesterday something weird happened.
I'm a SAHM and DH works full time so I always pick up dd on her nursery days. Like 100% of the time. That's just how it's always been.
Yesterday as DH finished work, I rang him and asked if he'd like to pick her up on his way home as she'd be so excited! He said he'd love to but doesn't have her car seat in his car.
So I went to pick her up as usual and she had no knowledge that he was ever even considering getting her and as soon as she came out, the first thing she said was "Why isn't daddy getting me?"
It really freaked me out!

I had a dream a had a car accident and the next week it happened.

A few years ago my auntie had a dream that one of our distant relatives died and low and behold … about 3 weeks later he passed away suddenly. He had no illnesses so it was a big shock and unexpected.

I have often wondered if there is psychic abilities or just huge coincidences.

TheBirdintheCave · 06/11/2022 00:33

Yeah. I have... microvisions... can't think of a better word for them. I just get a feeling something is going to happen. If I do nothing the thing I predicted happens. It's only ever little things, like a glass falling out of a cupboard. 90% of the time I don't even really notice I've had one and it's only afterwards I tell myself 'You knew that was going to happen so why didn't you push the glass further into the cupboard?'

I don't think I'm explaining it right 😂 Basically, utterly useless household based premonitions.

Yes, happened to me this week.

Someone I worked with in 2010 came up in conversation with my manager at work. I no longer work with her and we don't keep in touch.

That very evening I was at a seminar and she was the first person I saw at registration.

Yes not long ago!

When the war in Ukraine started DH and I were driving in the car and were discussing how we felt about our Russian friend (been in UK for 22 years) being pro-Putin. She grew up under the hammer and sickle so I said we can never know what her childhood and early adult life was like etc etc. and he said he’d nothing to compare it to because he’d never had any other Russian friends.

So anyway I told him about one Russian friend I had when I was at Uni 20 odd years ago. She was on my course I told him her name said I hadn’t seen her since leaving, we lost touch and never I’ve see her on social media. I said I hadn’t thought about her in years. Literally one minute later we were sat at traffic lights and a woman came out the house next to the lights. It was the Russian friend from Uni!! I really freaked me out, I’d barely spoken her name for decades and suddenly there she was
