I had an internal move mid-year which I thought was a 'better' position career-wise. I knew it meant less work-life balance, more days working in the office, and higher stress level, and I also got a hint from a colleague that the new manager could be difficult. But I still chose to move thinking it could make my CV looks nicer (It is a role which is very difficult to get into).
Long story short, now I absolutely feel stuck - constantly regretting my move constantly. In fact, I regretted almost immediately since I joined the new team. I also heard a lot of rumors that many people quit since the manager is unbearable. The demand of the job is also quite high, with many colleagues working overtime. My health suffers too because of stress and lack of exercises. I need to wait for at least a year before I can seek other internal opportunities. I really do not want to leave my organization. I think I should mention that I do not work very long hours (9am-6pm by choice) and get paid pretty well. But I want to take a break. AIBU to want to quit without a job? Or should I just hang in there for a few months and look for other opportunities?
