To wonder how to do a list in Word

I'm trying to do a numbered list and on numbered para 3 have added in a 3a, 3b and 3c.
I've now want to get back to the original list and create a para 4
Can someone please tell me how to do this?

Press enter twice

Iirf tab in type 4 and it should be listy again.

I find it easier to do the numbering afterwards.

Shift+tab
