To think DCs and DH may have avoided stomach bug?

Hi all. So I came down with a stomach bug Sunday evening. Was trapped in the bathroom with severe D+V until around 3am Monday morning. I bleached the bathroom and everything I'd touched and then essentially quarantined myself in the bedroom with DS (he's 4 months old and breastfed so had to have him with me) whilst DH and toddler DD stayed away as much as possible.

It's now been over 48 hours since I was last ill. I feel absolutely fine now and so far nobody else has shown symptoms. Not even DS who has been with me the whole time!

Unfortunately I have emetophobia so the thought of either of the kids (or God forbid, both) having a stomach bug is extremely anxiety inducing. I know it's a fact of life with young kids and I'd deal with it if it happened because I'd have to, but am I being naive for thinking they MIGHT have avoided it??

It's quite possible but best to try and keep an open mind. Another day or two and you're probably in the clear

My eldest bought norovirus home from school a few weeks ago, he was sick Friday night through to Saturday afternoon. My DH got it next Sunday night, then my youngest on Monday. I thought I’d managed to avoid it despite being chief sick cleaner upper and bathroom bleacher but it finally got me on Thursday night!

@SleepWouldBeADream oh noo 😅 I would've thought you'd have been safe after the best part of a week!

Fingers crossed for you that you have escaped it! My youngest DC has had a couple of D&V bugs over the last year that we all seem to have miraculously escaped, but last month youngest had it Sat night through to Monday and the rest of us thought we escaped it only for me and eldest DC to come down with it on Friday morn/afternoon!

That said although i went round bleaching toilets/sick bowls we didn't steer clear of each other so it isn't surprising it spread :)

Hi all, so DD had slight diarrhoea yesterday afternoon but nothing since then (been over 24 hours now), she's acting totally fine, still eating etc. DH felt rough and had stomach cramps last night but again nothing today. So could they have just gotten a minor dose of it?
