To wonder what's happened at work?

I work really hard. My manager has always been full of compliments for me in my one to one and we get on well.

The past three days though he has been negative about three separate things each day. Two were in full earshot of the rest of the team too, which I hate. If I am doing something wrong or off the mark, then I preferred to be told privately. Maybe that's just my over-sensitivity of the situation though.

It wasn't anything nasty, but I never usually get anything like this and i'm starting to wonder what I have done wrong. I have been there for a few years. Maybe i'm just overtired, but should I be bothered?

If you have a good relationship generally, talk to him. It may be nothing to do with you but that he's having a tough time for whatever reason and is unintentionally taking it out on your without really realising what he's doing. I once had this with a manager who had always previously given me good feedback and when I raised it with him he apologised and explained it was unintentional and probably because he was having a bad time outside of work. He massively improved after that.
