I bet the lease was up on the leasehold? I can't see it mentioned on this one, but I've seen a few dead cheap properties in central London where there's only 5 years or less on the lease. I'd imagine that when they're this cheap, the landowner won't renew the lease.

@PeekabooAtTheZoo it's £8m for a studio flat that is too small to fit a proper bed, an oven or 2 hobs. It's crazy.

There’s no way a studio sold for that. If you look, the other sold prices in the area are more like £1.3m - £2.3m - so whilst still insane, not in the £7.8m league.

I bet the £7.8m purchase was for the entire building, prior to its conversion into studios. RightMove and Zoopla data never takes things like that into account.
