To return to work 4 days after having my tubes cut?

I’m scheduled to have my fallopian tubes cut/clamped (laparoscopic) on a Thurs in a couple of weeks and the guidelines are 7 days recovery before returning to exercise, I’m self employed as a dog walker so it’s a physical job, but I’m also a single mum so taking time off is difficult, aibu to return to work the following Monday? Does anyone else have experience of this procedure and how recovery went?

I think if the guidelines say 7 days I’d go with it. If you were saying you wanted to take your kids a walk round the park a few days later I would say it would do you good but being in control of other people’s dogs who could pull you or run off I would err on the side of caution and certainly give it a week.

I'd do what the doctors say. No point in rushing back and creating a bigger problem.
