To not go swimming when pregnant

I am going to Centre parcs in a few weeks and just found out I am around 6wks.

To anyone tho has been (particularly the longleat one) you know the swimming is in a 'tropical' climate and has water rapids etc

I remember last time I went being very hot and I wasn't even pregnant then.

Would you go swimming? Maybe I'm just looking for an excuse to not go as I'm not a huge fan of being amongst tons of people and their kids splashing.

I just wondered also if the fact they heat it quite warm (it goes outside) would it be wise to just avoid

You'll be fine swimming, but if you don't want to, it sounds like a great excuse.

I went to CP last week, it's not "too hot" in the slightest in the swimming pool. Pregnant women holiday in hot countries all the time and are fine.

The only advice for pregnant women and pools is not to go in the steam room or hot tub due to the heat.

Probably just being a bit paranoid then! Thanks 😊

How do you think women in hot countries manage? Are you never going for a bath whilst pregnant?

The water is no where near "too hot."

If you dont want to swim because it's busy and so many people are jumping and splashing, so you just dont like it then dont go swimming. You dont need an excuse about hot water. If you dont want to, then dont.

I went to CP 13 weeks pregnant and I did go swimming. I didn’t do the rapids, hot tub or go on the slides but I could still do other aspects of the swimming. I thought the temperature was fine. However, it’s your prerogative to not do anything you’re uncomfortable doing.

Swimming is amazing when you're pregnant , especially towards the end when you feel weightless in the water.

Having said that, there is no way I would go round the rapids at CP when pregnant as you just get battered and bruised. I would go in the main pool though for a little splash around.

CONGRATULATIONS!

The water won't be too hot for your baby. It's only spa pools they suggest avoiding, so personally I'd definitely go swimming, the weightlessness feels awesome. But if you feel uncomfortably hot, then for your own sake get out & get some fresh air. I have trouble regulating my own temperature & am prone to fainting, so I just get myself out of the steamy environment & cool down

but 'No thanks, I don't want to' . Is fine pregnant or not!.

I'm in an almost identical situation to you, I've recently just found out that I'm pregnant and will be at Centreparcs when I'm around 8 weeks. I will definitely be going swimming but will probably avoid the rapids. I didn't find it very hot when we went last year, perhaps just give it a try and see how you feel once you're there?

I went when I was a few months pregnant. There are signs saying dont go on the slides or Rapids if you're expecting. Otherwise it's fine
