I understand all your confusion. But apparently some people vote Tory because someone who was not a Tory was mean to them on the internet.

Lots of people are easily manipulated to vote a certain way. That’s why political campaigners put lies on the side of buses etc.

I doubt it. They might say they are going to. They might even say afterwards that it was the reason they voted that way. It's just their way off trying to make people regret 'being mean to them' - "Ha - look what you did, you made me vote Tory!"

It strikes me that believing what people say on the internet about their voting motives might mean that it you are the one being easily manipulated .
