Can you start as a supply teacher before your QTS certificiate comes though?

Simple question really, I am near 30 with a family to provide for. I had to retake a placement which finishes next month. I have been told I won 't get my QTS till at least January.

November is a very time of the year to finish your training isn't it?

Your pass has to be registered on the teacher training register as that is what supply agencies use to check you are qualified. (Using your teacher number).

I qualified in June, was able to supply from 12th July when the register changed to passed. I checked everyday.
