Help!! Tonsil stones but I've had my tonsils out! What works?

Help needed please!!

I had my tonsils out 20 years ago after bouts of getting food stuck in them and tonsillitis. This week I've had a slightly sore throat and the feeling of something possibly stuck. Horrible white flakes suggesting something lodged in a pocket in the throat somewhere. Today I have a really appalling taste in my mouth. I've gargled with mouthwash.

Has anyone else had this? What is the answer?

It is possible for tonsils to partially grow back.

I didn't know tonsils could partially grow back.

I can't see anything so not sure how to poke them out 😞

Can you use a syringe to pop them out?

I've seen people poking them out with cotton buds before?

A water flosser aimed at the tonsils can help, if you can manage to not gag too much

I've ordered a suction thing and syringe but it won't be here for a while and the taste is unbearable. DP is heroically going in with torch and cotton bud. I'm already traumatized.

What was the outcome? My daughter has just had 2 stones come out and a foul taste in her mouth / breath. Will this be an ongoing trauma? I can't get to the tonsils as her tongue seems too big.......
