Not an AIBU but I'm interested in Mumsnetter's choice of sites. I check news sites, weather, recipes, ebay and of course MN! I'm on FB rarely and am yet to understand the appeal of Twitter and Instagram. Any recommendations?

I use Digital Spy because I watch a lot of TV, HotUKdeals and MoneySavingExpert for bargains, I also find the MSE forums useful. I don't use Facebook at all and Twitter I just look at trending sometimes. I have got a Twitter name but only use it to contact companies as sometimes the only way you can get an answer is through Twitter or Facebook.

BBC news, Reddit, YouTube.

So much time on Instagram. But you need to "curate" your feed and it does take ages.

In "explore" mode, the algorithm shows you lots of images and reels, and depending on what you like and follow, it shows you similar stuff, and then you can like and follow those posts, and refine it down to exactly what you want to see.

I'm into crafting and DIY, and follow lots of pages about that. I love it because I find it a great source of inspiration and it encourages me to try things I would never have considered doing. I have also used it for gardening inspiration. In my opinion, it's not "mindless scrolling" because it develops a hobby.

But people use Instagram in loads and loads of different ways. Depends what you're into!

MN, Instagram (I only use IG to follow accounts related to my hobbies) and Facebook to a lesser extent. I don't do Twitter - it's a cesspit!
