To just want my own bed?!

I love being on holiday but actually dread sleeping in another bed! I panic about it not being clean and nothing about it feels right. DH thinks I’m weird. Am I weird?! Is there anyone else who feels like third? Any tips to make it a more enjoyable experience?!

Is it only that that bothers you or do you panic about other things? Just wondering if it's OCD that needs treating with therapy.

Can you bring your own sheets?

Sorry should have said. Yes I have diagnosed PTSD (health/ germ related trauma) and OCD. I didn’t realise until recently when my husband told me it’s weird that other people don’t feel like this!

Im the same. I double check the bed in a hotel beforw i get in. Once i know its visibly clean I can relax though.

I take my own pillow if I can squeeze it in.

Exactly the same here.

I have ptsd too funny enough, didn't think of the two as related.

I take my own pillows, only go to places with top reviews. Cry on the first night better on the second.

Hotel rooms are cleaner than my house, and the towels are fluffier

Agree with take own pillow.
