Anyone else have all the symptoms of covid but not have covid?

I have them all, even the pains going down backs of my legs and no taste or smell. Yet I don’t have covid, my husband has it, but I don’t.

I feel shocking. Could I have it but not test positive? I can’t sleep I feel so rough.

It took a few days for us to test positive even with symptoms. How long have you felt ill?

If your husband has it and you have symptoms then it’s fairly likely that you have it too. I’m sorry you feel rubbish, hope you feel better soon!

My friend didn't test positive until she started to feel better and then was testing negative two/three days later. She definitely had it as the rest of her house did.

I’ve felt utterly crap for three days. He tested positive on Tuesday morning. I would say I’m
more covid-y than him.

Those tests are super unreliable. I was sick for a few days before getting a positive. It's probably safe to assume you have it since you have a close contact and also multiple symptoms.

My test is now positive just when I’ve started feeling better. So weird.

When I was sick enough with pneumonia to be admitted to the HDU at hospital, no less than eight medical professionals did covid tests on me.

All of them were adamant I had covid and all eight tests were negative.

Bywayofanupdate · 15/10/2022 15:26

I had symptoms for a week before I tested positive 🙈

I’ve actually just tested positive for the first time.

This will be the 3rd or 4th time I’ve had extreme symptoms like this but never tested positive before

courgettigreensadwater · 15/10/2022 15:40

It's a virus. The symptoms are that of a virus. We have to live with this virus and stop testing. If I'm ill I stay away from people. Always have done.

I'm on day 9 of it and still testing negative...

I had symptoms while my DC had covid but must have tested negative at least 10 times. By total coincidence I was sent an antibody test to do and post back. I did the LFT and the antibody test at the same time, same technique on day 5. LFT was negative, antibody test people messaged me two days later to say I had covid.

LFTs are not very reliable! If you have the symptoms and people around you are positive, assume you have it.
