Can anyone help me with my refund from Calvin Klein?

Sorry for blatant misuse of AIBU but I'm getting desperate.

I bought a top for DS birthday in August. £37. Too small so I returned it.
No response so chased up, spoke to someone, emailed proof of posting.

I have rung multiple times and each time they say yes I should be refunded, they can't see why I haven't been, and they're going to "escalate" it.

I've even had an email confirming my refund has been authorised, but still no refund.

I've tweeted the CEO. I've left a review on trustpilot. I've called them, emailed them, filled in the complaints form, I've cried, I've begged. Still no refund.

Today I receive an email saying due to my lack of response (????) they're closing my case.

I'm at a loss to know what to do next.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Can you do a chargeback on your card?

Wdib78 · 13/10/2022 07:35

You can report them to trading standards but they won't be able to get you a refund but you can contact the consumer ombudsman and they can help you.

Sabrinasouffle · 13/10/2022 07:35

How did you pay for it? Go through your credit card or bank

FatEaredFuck · 13/10/2022 07:36

Contact trading standards?

Sabrinasouffle · 13/10/2022 07:36

Oh and I find that a message on Twitter often helps

Longdistance · 13/10/2022 07:37

Bloody hell they sound useless.
Yes, I’d do a chargeback if I were you and never shop with them again.

Putdownthecake · 13/10/2022 07:42

Not wanting to potentially point out the obvious but did you response go to your junk email or inbox within an online account with them?

"I've tweeted the CEO"

Contact them again telling them you want to raise a formal complaint, but also go to the consumer ombudsman.

Sarahcoggles · 13/10/2022 07:56

Thank you all.
I'd forgotten about the chargeback facility - I'll contact my credit card company.

Then I think I'll try the ombudsman.

Chasing refunds is such a nightmare.
