Child vomiting and we need to fly home

We’re currently on holiday and due to fly home in 8 hours. But my 4yo has been up vomitting overnight (it’s currently 4am). She’s been sick 3 times.

What happens in this scenario? We do have insurance - will they cover the cost of us staying longer? As I’m assuming ofc I can’t take her on a plane today. How do I go about this?!

Sorry if this seems a dumb question I just don’t know where to start

I've had to do this
ring your insurer now
i had to get a doctor's note
then I paid and reclaimed from insurance when I got home

My mum had similar many years ago so not sure if still the same. She spoke to hotel and they arranged for a doctor to give anti sickness injection, worth a try

I got food poisoning a few years ago, the evening before I was meant to fly back. The taxi driver kindly took me to the airport doctor, who gave me medication and looked after me until it was time to board.

Probably not wise to take the same risks with a 4 year old that you might take with an adult. Call the 24 hour line for your insurance and get your ds to a doctor (or whatever is appropriate for the country you are in) in the morning.
