To be sick if dodging kids on the road?

Three times this week I've been driving home from work in the dark and come around a bend to kids playing or standing on the road. It's a 20mph limit which I stick to, and go below on the worst bends, and I'm not distracted or anything. Just absolutely sick of them being on the road when we live in a village with masses of play spaces- it's the same kids every time. I drive a big car and I'm worried sick that one day I'm not going to be able to stop in time. The road was a bit wet today and it didn't feel great to have to suddenly jam the brakes on.

My neighbour works on one of the village farms and drives a tractor and he's said the same. They were running in front of the combine a few months ago too.

If you say anything to them, the parents get arsy because "they should be able to play where they like." I guess when one of them is killed something will change!
