It’ll be fine!

I'd eat them

Muststopeating · 05/10/2022 17:30

Yes, yes and yes. Fairly sure gravy granules that were years out of date wouldn't hurt you, just might not taste great.

Please use them and use them until they are finished.

Old Gravy is not a common cause of death.

NumptiesIncorporated · 05/10/2022 17:31

I wouldn't have even noticed they were out of days. They'll be absolutely fine.

Cheeselog · 05/10/2022 17:32

I wouldn’t even think to check the date on something like gravy granules! Ours are probably at least a year out of date

devildeepbluesea · 05/10/2022 17:32

It wouldn’t even occur to me to look at the BBE date on granules. Come to think of it, I’m willing to bed all my granules are past their BBE. I’m m sure I’ll use them all up though.

It'll be fine! Enough salt to preserve them

EmmaH2022 · 05/10/2022 17:35

Thank you. I look forward to dinner time!

I don't think anything like mould could live off the gravy granuals.

You can use my pro technique - scrape of the top layer throw it away and use what's underneath.

If you are really worried then the boiling water added to the granuals should kill any nasties. Toxins are a different matter though.

If you survive be sure to report back.
