To feel sick after an almost car crash?

Thread for traffic;

I had a very near miss today, and I mean it could have been fatal. Since then I've felt sick with nerves and anxiety. It's completely thrown me off as I get very worked up about things like this.

Just wondered if anyone else has had a near miss while driving and how you dealt with it afterwards?

Mine was my fault, an error of judgement of speed and timing.

I had a bad accident (aggressive man rear ended me on a country road) a few years ago and it completely shook me up. I found it hard to drive afterwards. My insurance offered me some complimentary lessons with the AA which really helped and gave me my confidence back. Maybe you could self pay for a short course? Don’t beat yourself up OP- you had a near miss today but everyone is ok. I think you will probably drive impeccably for the next few months to compensate.
